In a stock solid-axle Dodge Ram, as the wheels turn left and right, the sector shaft of the steering box is loaded and unloaded from side to side. This sideways loading will, over time, wear out the internal components of your steering box, causing it to fail. The HBS Dodge Ram Steering Stabilizer Bar Kit adds a mount to the bottom of your steering box, below your steering arm, that slides into a bearing housing that attaches to your truck’s frame. This bearing carries the side-acting loads which allows the shaft to move freely, adds strength and dramatically extends the life of the gearbox.

Installation of the Dodge Ram steering stabilizer bar takes 1-2 hours, though certified mechanics report installing in 30 minutes or less. The Dodge Ram steering stabilizer bar kit is complete with instructions and all necessary hardware at OEM Grade or higher. The stabilizer bar kit will improve handling and extend the life of a properly functioning steering gearbox. If your steering box is worn out, we strongly suggest replacing it, and also installing the stabilizer bar kit to make sure your steering remains safe and your box lasts as long as your truck.
