The Hell Bent Steel Dodge Ram Steering Stabilizer Bar Kit is one of the best ways to protect and improve your truck’s steering. Dodge solid-front-axle trucks can develop steering “wander” due to the design of steering gear box. The stabilizer bar provides superior support for your gear box by adding a secondary fixed mount below the steering box.
Does not fit 2WD trucks and is not designed for Ram Powerwagons.

The design of the solid-axle Dodge truck’s steering gearbox is such that they have the tendency to wear out quickly. A worn out steering gearbox causes the “wander” in steering for which the Dodge Rams are notorious. Especially if you have a new steering box, you will want this bar kit to keep it strong. If you don’t stabilize your steering gear box, over time your truck will develop play in the steering; this can be, at best, annoying but potentially dangerous. The Hell Bent Steel steering stabilizer bar kit is complete, easy to install, great looking and the HIGHEST QUALITY stabilizer bar on the market. In a stock solid-axle Dodge Ram, as the wheels turn left and right, the sector shaft of the steering box is loaded and unloaded from side to side. This sideways loading will, over time, wear out the internal components of your steering box, causing it to fail. The HBS Dodge Ram Steering Stabilizer Bar Kit adds a mount to the bottom of your steering box, below your steering arm, that slides into a bearing housing that attaches to your truck’s frame. This bearing carries the side-acting loads which allows the shaft to move freely, adds strength and dramatically extends the life of the gearbox.
Installation of the Dodge Ram steering stabilizer bar takes 1-2 hours, though certified mechanics report installing in 30 minutes or less. The Dodge Ram steering stabilizer bar kit is complete with instructions and all necessary hardware at OEM Grade or higher. Hell Bent Steel always recommends that a certified mechanic install our products; however, many customers choose to performed the installation at home with basic shop tools.

2007 MegaCab 3500 here. OH MY GOD!!! My truck handles better than a 2012 that I test drove over the weekend. My steering is stiff and there is no more “wonder” when driving on uneven roads. Definitely the best product out there. I have the big-dually wheel kit on my truck with 255/75 R22.5 tires on it. Big and heavy!! With this stabilizer bar, my trucks rides smooth and firm. Thanks Hell Bent Steel for such a great solution to the dangers of steering wonder.

Surprised the heck out of me that it fit perfectly out of the box. First time that has ever happened with this truck. Got rid of all the slack in my steering wheels. Drives better than my dads brand new truck!

This is a must have for your truck! I had the death wobble in my 99 cummins and this helped get rid of it and also much smother steering so you don’t have to second guess if you need this and it took 15 min to put up

This stabilizer is exactly what my truck needed. I had been replacing worn out parts but still had a sloppy feel. Installed the unit and what a change it made! Much firmer steering response without the wet dish rag feel. Now I don’t feel like I have to put the kung-fu grip on the wheel when i go across a narrow bridge or through the cattle chutes, I can just drive normally.

Quick shipping from US to Canada. Installed in less than an hour with minimal effort. My truck only has 45,000 miles and was fairly solid in the front end. After installing the HBS steering stabilizer and I also replaced the track bar bushings, my truck drives better then the day I drove it off the lot. Great product, easy install, a must for all 2500/3500 ram owners ! Really tightens up a sloppy dodge

Put this piece on my 06′ Mega Cab and it does do what it is meant to. My truck already drove good so I didn’t expect much, but it did make a noticeable difference. The steering is definitely tighter and more stable on rough country roads. It was easy to install and good quality. It’s a good idea for a stock truck and definitely recommended for larger tires.

I bought the stabilizer online Sunday night from AZ. was at my house by Wednesday noon. Product went on in 30 minutes. Haven’t had a chance to see how it works yet but is as advertised, seems to be quality for the money spent. Good product, Fast shipping, good price. I will update this if it doesn’t turn out.

What a difference! I have an ’05 2500 with large tires and the steering was getting a little loose and not wanting to track as well as it used to. The stabilizer was easy to install and took me less then an hour. The handling is better now then it was when I bought the truck brand new. It tracks rock solid and the road feel in the steering wheel is much improved. Thanks for a great product at the best price I could find. Ski
